The Little India riot in Singapore has put a spotlight on the plight of migrant workers. Recognising this problem, SDI Academy was set up to offer low-fee English courses to foreign workers and to help them integrate into society. We speak with Valerie Pang who co-founded SDI while studying in Yale-NUS.
