When it comes to elections, people often think about big coalitions. Take GE15, for example, in which all the attention has been on juggernauts such as PN, BN, PH, GPS and the likes. But these are not the only parties running for elections. Apart from smaller parties, there are also individuals who run in elections not representing any party or coalition. I’m talking about independent candidates. 

So, what goes through the mind of an independent candidate? Why do they run in elections? What do they hope to achieve?
