This Evening Edition spoke to Bill Adair, Knight Professor of the Practice of Journalism and Public Policy, at the Duke Sanford School of Public Policy, about the enduring mystery behind the disappearance of MH370. His book, The Mystery of Flight 427: Inside a Crash Investigation, tracked the five-year NTSB investigation after a USAir Boeing 737 nose-dived into a Pennsylvania hillside on September 8th, 1994. In it, he examined the behind-the-scenes story of the work that shapes airline safety policy. He was one of only two journalists to get unprecedented access into the inner workings of the National Transportation Security Board.
