Stonewalling Works, But At What Cost?

It’s a workplace toxin. And yet, stonewalling happens in Malaysian companies every day, and as recent headlines would suggest, even at the highest level of administration in our country. Former PNB Chairman Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar was said to have been stonewalled in his attempt to get an appointment with the Prime Minister, and more recently former Khazanah MD Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar was given the cold shoulder when attempting to do the same. Is stonewalling an effective way to communicate dissatisfaction to your employees or subordinate? And is putting people in “cold storage” the solution to dealing with unproductive or ill-disciplined staff?
