Doctor in the House: Should You Buy Medical Devices On E-Commerce Platforms?

Medical devices are a billion-dollar industry, and are becoming increasingly ubiquitous in healthcare. They’re also becoming increasingly high-stakes - such devices are costly, but they do very precise jobs and slight errors in usage can result in serious consequences. And yet, you increasingly find medical devices being sold on e-commerce platforms to the public. How do consumers judge the safety and authenticity of the devices that are available? Just because you can add a ventilator or a medical laser to your cart, does that mean you should? We find out from Eric Woo, Regional Director of ECRI Asia Pacific.
