Dr. Eqbal Dauqan's Science Beats War

Dr. Eqbal Dauqan was an accomplished scientist and professor in Yemen, but she had to leave everything behind because of the civil war. Since then, she has been teaching in Malaysia as an assistant professor in UKM, under a scholarship by the Institute of International Education's Scholar Rescue Fund. But as the scholarship ends next year, her fate remains in question. Umapagan Ampikaipakan sits down with the fearless scientist to talk about her experience of fleeing the war and what lies ahead for her.
