It was a thriller in Manchester as Pep Guardiola's team edged Real Madrid 4-3 in what is possibly a contender for the game of the season in the Champions League. Liverpool, meanwhile, efficiently dispatched Villareal at Anfield ahead of the second leg. Elsewhere, Man United salvaged a 1-1 draw in a match that could have easily been an easy win for the visitors, Chelsea.
