The US Federal Reserve has indicated that it doesn't plan to cut interest rates until it is more confident of inflation is convincingly under control. This is after it maintain the current two-decade high rate at around 5.3%. Vishnu Varathan, the Head of Economics & Strategy at Mizuho Bank analyses this decision as well as shares his insights on the current weakness of the Japanese yen.
