Great teachers that are teaching the right stuff is obviously essential .  But there is one more factor that the best education systems in the world share:  They are societies that believe that hard work and effort will be rewarded.  The expectations that we have about our children often become self fulfilling prophecies.  So what then are the expectations that are being transmitted through our classrooms?
