Who doesn't know the wonders of Penang food! Both Malaysians and tourists alike make the pilgrimage up north many times to get their amazing-food fix and leave the island, happy. So, it was with mixed reviews when the state government announced that it was planning to ban foreign cooks at hawker stalls. Some supported the move, saying local cuisine authenticity must be maintained. Some argue that there's no difference - we have Malaysian chefs cooking Italian or French food anyway.
