Stories of the mistreatment of animals and pets have been circling the news, with the recent case being a man who was arrested for allegedly abusing a cat. This comes hand in hand with reports of pets being abandoned by people during the pandemic. We discuss these issues, as well as what laws need to be put in place to protect the rights of these animals.
