Several days ago, 18 durian farmers were detained for trespassing into the Batu Talam permanent forest reserve in Raub. The Pahang state government had earlier accused the farmers of illegal farming, and attempted to evict them. We find out more about the situation from lawyer Collin Arvind Andrew who represented the farmers.
