Barcelona's strong background in smart/urban city development is something they wear with pride. Kicking it off back in 2012, responsive technologies are used across urban systems like public transport, street lighting and waste management. They've not only managed to bring down emissions due to reduced congestion, they've also managed to save cost on water and power, thus improving the quality of life for residents. Will we be able to see something similar here?
