With malware scams posing serious threats to user privacy, Google has taken action by launching a trial in Singapore to block sideloading i.e. installations from unverified sources on Android devices. We discuss the efficacy of this feature and whether its implementation should be considered in Malaysia with cybersecurity expert CF Fong.
